Editing files from your Gmail inbox is now possible. The option to edit an office document is now amongst the options of downloading or saving an attachment.
Clicking the new ‘edit’ option will enable your files to automatically change into Google office format, and working on files can also be done offline.
Google included up to 15 office file formats for you to convert files to, some of which include presentation show files (pps, ppsx), macro-enabled files, and template files.
You can still edit files in it’s original format if you like but you will have to install the Google Chrome extension.
