It may surprise you to hear that in 2014, 60% of the World’s population still didn’t have access to Internet. Microsoft has launched the Nokia 215 featurephone to target people looking to get online at the most affordable cost.
The phone runs Series 30+, has a 2.4-inch, microSD card support, Bluetooth audio support, and a 1100 mAh battery. The main camera is a 0.3 megapixel shooter. There are audio, video and FM radio players on board. Think great battery life and internet connectivity with the following apps:
- Bing Search
- MSN Weather
- Opera Mini Browser
We wonder why there is no mention of WhatsApp. Here is a quick infographic about the phone:
The 215 has single and dual SIM versions and will retail for $30. It will be available in select markets, starting in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe in Q1 2015.
The Nokia 215 is also great value for existing smartphone users looking for a perfect companion device. The Nokia 215 is just a step above the Nokia 130 which was announced in August last year and retails for about $25.
