The OPPO A72 5G has been launched in China as the latest addition to OPPO’s line of devices. This smartphone has a number of new features that distinguish it from its 4G predecessor.
This device is built around a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080×2400 pixels) display with a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. It runs the ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC which offers 5G support and 8GB of RAM.
In the camera department, three rear cameras in the back panel take care of photography with a 16MP main sensor headlining the setup. This 16MP camera is assisted by an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP black and white camera oriented in a square module. Up front, a 16MP sensor housed in a hole-punch design takes care of selfies and video calls.
The OPPO A72 5G has 128GB of onboard storage and a 4,040mAh battery that supports fast charging at 18W. It weighs 175 grams and is about 7.9mm thick. The OPPO A72 is available in one storage variant, an 8GB+128GB model which is up for pre-order on the company’s website and costs $270.
