Android Nougat has arrived on several devices. However, some Nougat problems have surfaced on the operating system. Some of these Nougat problems are easily fixable without taking in your phone for repairs. Here are some common Android Nougat problems and their solutions:
NOUGAT INSTALLATION PROBLEMS
If you have issues installing the Nougat update on your phone, do not worry. First, make sure your phone is fully charged and connected to a stable WiFi network before you try to download it. Next, you need to wait for the update to install. The phone might be slow on its first reboot after installation, but this is nothing to worry about. However, if this persists, you might want to wipe the system cache in Recovery mode. If you’re still having problems, you might have to perform a factory reset.
If your battery life has suffered since you updated to Android Nougat, don’t panic. Sometimes, the update, which is supposed to optimize battery usage actually causes it to drain faster. There’s a solution for that. Once you update to Nougat, go to the Google Play Store and update all your apps, so they are compatible to the new Android version. Then, clear the app caches and the system cache to get rid of old data.
NOUGAT WIFI CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS
If your WiFi connectivity has become noticeably worse since you installed Android Nougat, you could try turning WiFi off and on again. if that does not work, turn off WiFi and reboot your phone, then try to check it again. if that does not work, “forget” the WiFi network you tried to connect to, then try to reconnect. You can also reset your network settings in Settings > Backup and Reset > Network Settings Reset.
NOUGAT BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS
Bluetooth problems are sometimes hard to figure out. The first thing you should do is try turning the Bluetooth off and on again. If that does not work, “forget” the connection, then try to connect again. If that does not work, boot into Safe Mode so third party apps cannot interfere with the connection. This will help you check if some app is the cause of the problem.
NOUGAT CELLULAR DATA PROBLEMS
If your Nougat device experiences problems with mobile data, try switching off your cellular data and switching it back on. If that does not work, restart your phone. You might want to remove your SIM card and reinsert it. if all else fails, try to contact your carrier to see if this is a widespread issue.
NOUGAT RANDOM REBOOTING ISSUE
If you phone randomly reboots since you updated t Nougat, just restart the phone. If this persists, try clearing your app caches and data. For some devices, this is a hardware issue, which means you have to send it in for repairs.
NOUGAT BLACK SCREEN ISSUES
Some users have been getting a black screen on their devices. The first thing to do when this happens is to turn off the phone using the power button, then turn it back on. If this does not work, try to reboot into recovery mode by holding down the power, volume up and home buttons at once. You’ll see your manufacturer’s logo, and from the recovery menu that comes up, you can use the volume up button to select Reboot System and press the power button to reboot the phone.
NOUGAT NOT CONNECTING TO PC
This could be because you have not chosen the correct option in Settings. The default USB setting is Charging Mode. When you connect your phone to the computer via USB, a popup will come up saying Connected for Charging. Tap on this notification and you’ll see a number of options. Select MTP for transferring media. This will allow you to copy files to your phone via USB.
NOUGAT APP CRASHING AND INSTABILITY
If apps are misbehaving, you need to update the apps to the newest versions which are compatible to Nougat. If that does not solve the problem, clear the app cache and data. if that still does not work, uninstall the app and reinstall it.
