Finally, iPad users have a native Google Assistant app available to them. Google Assistant for iPad has the similar functionality as the iPhone app but takes advantage of the bigger screen to harness features like split screen and multitasking. iPad users can now go through their schedules while controlling their smart home or carrying out some other task.
While the iPhone app could run on the iPad, it was basically a stretched out, clumsier affair. The new iPad version supports both portrait and landscape modes.
The Battle For The iPad
Google Assistant has joined the league of voice assistant apps that are getting iPad love in recent times. Alexa has been updated for tablets, including the iPad.
The app is also now has support for a greater range of languages, including: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian Portugese and Spanish.
Of course, Siri is still built into the iPad and has the advantage of being called up holding the Home Button down for a few seconds. But perhaps Google can win some converts with a native app of this sort.
If you prefer Google Assistant to Siri, or would like to use both on your iPad, you can download the Google Assistant app to your iPad HERE.
