Here is the Windows 10 update schedule for existing Lumia phones

Yesterday, Microsoft announced Windows 10 Mobile and the first devices to be powered by it. Before now, Microsoft had assured users that specific existing Lumia smartphones would be updated with the new software.

The company has confirmed that “broad availability of Windows 10 on other devices, including mobile phones, will begin rolling out in December”.

The following is a first list of Lumia smartphones that that have been confirmed to receive the free upgrade from December:

Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 635 (1 GB RAM), Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930.

Microsoft also say that they are working on bringing the update to other devices besides this initial set. Devices with a minimum of 8GB internal storage are the only ones qualified for the update.

    As in, its either gonna be the 950/950XL or the iphone 6sPlus…

    But I just read that the 950 might be AT&T exclusive. I hope it isn’t true sha but nonetheless, either one will be spending christmas with moi 🙂

      With proper planning, everything is possible jare. Hehe

      I wont be upgrading my laptop. Laptop still looks good and works fine. rare breed. Plus, I just upgraded it to windows 10. I will only be upgrading my smaller lumia phone and then I can truly compare and decide if continuum will replace the need to upgrade that laptop you feel you need to upgrade or just get a continuum device and a windows 10 badass if you can afford it.

      You can be sure I will be here to spill!

      the AT&T exclusive only matters if you live Stateside. plus it’s available unlocked on Microsoft’s online store. dunno why Microsoft is still playing the carrier exclusive game though
