Microsoft Corporation is currently holding a developer conference called Build 2015, and it is rumored that they will announce Android app support for Windows 10 build for mobile. Paul Thurrott, a Microsoft journalist made this revelation, among others, today. What will come of this decision is quite complex, perhaps bearing a sweet and sour taste.
He revealed that Microsoft had already been working towards the possibility of Android app support, though its still a probability if it will be announced at the Build event.
Is this a step in the right direction? or a sign of conceding defeat to the almighty Android? I wonder how Windows app developers will react to this. Your thoughts.
after all the work put into a unified kernel and support for universal apps I’d be disappointed if this turns out to be true
apparently there’s a way to compile Android apps for Windows 10. it’s not an ACL per se. also works for iOS apps which is interesting cos iOS/OSX apps are written with C++

So would I. Unlike BB10, there are enough apps exclusive to Windows Phone that I wouldn’t trade for the Android equivalent.
