LG has just announced a music streaming service for their smartphone users. The peculiar thing here is that the service brings high quality MP3 of rating – 24bit/192kHz. This is far more better than what you get with regular CD’s with rating – 16bit/44.1kHz. The service taps into 24bit music playback capability of the G4, G3, G2 and G Flex 2, so those without these models will miss out.
The service will work through an app called LG SmartWorld and also on LG website. It will also feature in nearly 70 countries including the United States, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Russia and the United Kingdom. Eligible customers will be able to download two free Hi-Fi tracks per month with the extra option of purchasing songs at 50 percent off the regular price.
“Our Hi-Fi music service reflects our ongoing commitment to providing additional customer benefits to loyal LG customers,” said Chris Yie, VP and head of marketing communications LG.
