Did you ever imagine a Mercedes-Benz pickup before today? You didn’t? Neither did we. The German auto maker caught us all off-guard with the unveiling of the Concept X-CLASS pickup. There is a super pickup with the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star on it in the near future. According to the premium car brand, the future X-Class will combine class with all the strengths of a classic pickup – tough, functional, strong, and with off-road capability.
Benz’s pickup won’t be a pushover. The sturdy, rugged vehicle will be powered by a high-torque V6 diesel in combination with 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive. It will feature a Ladder-type frame. Of course, expect smartphone and app compatibility.
The Concept X-CLASS mid-size pickup is expected to be launched in late 2017 under the name Mercedes-Benz X-Class. The key markets will be Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Enjoy more photos of this elegant stallion in gold below.
