As we enter a new year, Microsoft has thought it best to revamp the logo of their search engine, Bing. The new logo is green in color and would be gradually spread across other Microsoft apps and services. Below is an image showing the last two images showing the Bing logo.
The extreme right logo would be the new one. Microsoft claims Bing is now becoming a profitable venture because of increased adoption. Rik van der Kooi, Microsoft’s corporate VP of advertiser and publisher solutions had the following to say:
“We expect Bing to continue to grow and are thrilled with our trajectory,”
“We are the only search engine that is experiencing steady, consistent growth and have increased our share for 26 consecutive quarters. And we’re not slowing down.”
“Of course we understand that marketers think about Google first,” Mr. van der Kooi added. “They have the biggest market share. But one-third of all search queries are done through Bing.”
Bing, forever the poor cousin to Google..
