When we say that megapixel count is not the only yardstick for measuring cameras, we mean it. While megapixel count affects image resolution, there are other factors that affect overall image quality. The photo below was shot minutes ago with a 5 megapixel camera:

Impressive; right? We are looking at photo quality that beats what some 8 and 13 megapixel cameraphones produce.

Update 17th March 2015: Here’s the answer: the photo was shot with a Microsoft Lumia 535. Superb 5 megapixel camera!

I’d say the Lumia 535 as well. people should know that the number of megapixels isn’t the only or greatest factor in determining picture quality. Apple have proven this time and time again
