Does WhatsApp Web work with any web browser?
Initially, it worked on only Chrome, but over time, browser support has increased, and you can now use it on other browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Opera, and others.
Can I use WhatsApp Web on any PC?
You can use it on both Windows PC and Mac computers.
Do I have to download and install any software on my PC?
You do not have to download and install any software to use WhatsApp Web on your PC. However, a WhatsApp Software for Desktop is now available for Windows and Mac computers, if you prefer to not access it via a Web bowser.
Can I use WhatsApp Web while my phone is switched off?
No; you cannot. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for WhatsApp to work on your PC. However, Facebook (the owners of WhatsApp) are working on making it possible to login on your PC without your phone being available.
How Can I Access WhatsApp Web On My PC?
You can access WhatsApp via your desktop Web browser and via a desktop app that is available for both Windows and Mac. Here is how to use WhatsApp on each of those options.
- To use your Web browser, go to web.whatsapp.com.
- To use the desktop app on a Windows PC, download it from the Microsoft Store. Click HERE.
- To use the desktop app on a Mac, download it from the Mac App Store. Click HERE.
How To Log In To WhatsApp Web On Desktop
To login on your desktop, you need to point your desktop web browser to web.whatsaap.com. The page will display a QR code for you to scan. Open WhatsApp on your phone, tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner, tap on WhatsApp Web. It will open a QR scanner via your phone’s camera. Point your phone camera at the QR code on the Desktop Web or app interface, and you will be signed in on your desktop.
