By way of explanation, a phablet is a cross between a smartphone and a tablet. Usually, a phablet’s display size is between 5.5 and 6 inches. Yes; phablets are massive smartphones. We bring you the very best from the two very different worlds of Android OS and Windows Phone OS respectively: The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Nokia Lumia 1520.

Both are powerful devices and stand firmly at the top of their respective ecosystems. The question is: Which will be your choice, and why? Tell us!

  1. What Zuma said. Part of me is also debating whether to replace my Tablet with a phablet or tablet. Choices choices…

  2. Galaxy Note 3, of course.
    * More ergonomic and comfy to hold
    * Excellent multitasking capabilities
    * Best-in-class gorgeous display
    * Truly useful S-Pen functionality
    * Unprecedented Accidental Handling Damage Warranty (2 free replacements with new unit)
    * Vast and robust Android apps ecosystem

  3. the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, as Baoku said, it’s got great multitasking functionality and the S Pen really opens up a lotta functions. AHD 24 month warranty and the Google-Android ecosystem. The 1520 is a good device but it has some limitations that keep it from being great. WP8 isn’t optimized for a 6″ screen, all the reviews i’ve read have mentioned this.

  4. I got the Lumia 1520 2 days ago..Been blown away totally. Cant type much now but not going back to Android ever again.

  5. For me, it’s the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Baoku has enumerated all the great features of the device couple with the operating system powering its operations.

    I’m not going the Windows Phone route yet, not functional and versatile enough for me.

  6. Baoku & techie almost said it all.
    Note3 is the beast in it’s echo system.with the 3GB RAM and processor, the Samsung touchwhiz became awesomely fluid in response.
