Android partners – Samsung, SonyEricsson, HTC, and LG – have responded to GoogleMoto, Google’s acquisition of Motorola Mobility, and they all sound happy about the deal. Of course, personally, I expect that all those happy quotes are simply PR.

In the coming months, what these companies actually do – as against what they have said – will tell us what they really think of the deal. After all, each and every one of them must act in their own best interests, just as Google have acted in their own best interest with this.

Here are quotes from the leadership of some Android partner businesses:

“We welcome today’s news, which demonstrates Google’s deep commitment to defending Android, its partners, and the ecosystem.”J.K. Shin, President
Samsung, Mobile Communications Division

“I welcome Google‘s commitment to defending Android and its partners.”Bert Nordberg
President & CEO, Sony Ericsson

I have been tech blogging since 2003, I have owned and reviewed hundreds of cell phones since my first in 2001. I do not review any smartphone without using it as my primary device for at least two weeks.
