Here at Mobility blog, we have a heritage of mobile giveaways to our readers and participants. Today, we have the pleasure of announcing the winner of another such giveaway.

PlirisMobile recently sent us a review unit of the Blaze (review here). What we have not disclosed till now is that the guys at PlirisMobile requested that we give it away to one person on Mobility blog aafter we were done with the review. We have arrived at a decision.

Our lucky winner is Soji Ayoade.

Congrats, Soji. Do get in touch (call 08076400503) to arrange for the pickup of your PlirisBlaze smartphone.

NB: Our thanks to the folks at PlirisMobile for the Blaze gift!

  1. Congrats, Soji. You shall hear from my Lawyers! You have been named ‘Lucky’ by Mobility Blog- but I have a patent on that name (Lucky) ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Enjoy you’re device!

  2. @Soji: congrats bro. Abeg make yourself available for questioning if we wey dey somehow interested in buying the device, need clarification on certain issues.

Hope you enjoy the device man :D.

  3. I think its a great effort on Pliris Blazeโ€™s part; an attempt to stand on queue with bigger brands like Samsung and HTC is commendable esp. since this is our very own Nigerian brand.

I remember my first smartphone was actually an Anabel but its delivery and service offering was poorโ€ฆyour guess is as good as mine what I did with it eventually!

However, Pliris Blaze seems a good shot at the competitive smart-phone market despite its flawsโ€ฆIโ€™d say ditch the dual-SIM functionality and focus on improving delivery offerings viz a viz display, speed and camera quality.
this is what informed this freebie.
congrats for being real! I just hope this pattern would not begin to influence very objective analysis, saying it as it is!
    kudos too to MN

I just hope this pattern would not begin to influence very objective analysis, saying it as it is!

@JujujKemist, am with you on that.

    there is that likelihood..

Meanwhile, ‘only your REAL friends tell it as IT IS!!’

  5. @EBK et Jujukemist: no offense guys but you’ve been around this blog and still don’t trust @Mister_Mobility to be objective in his reviews then serious wahala dey! ๐Ÿ™

  6. @Chukwudi, u got me wrongยก

I am talking about visitors not giving objective analyses in the hope of winning a device.

Of course Mr Mobility is objective (most times ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  7. Ooooops! I guess I jumped the gun. It wasn’t pretty clear if you guys were referring to commentators or the blog administrators.

    I tender my apologies ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. @Eye.Bee.Kay and Chuks – you guys sef, lol.

Congrats Soji, enjoy your new phone when you get it. We expect a photo of you with your new device like Chuks (but abeg, no shows of your bare chest :))

  9. @Noni: lol. Na collarbone I expose oh! Maybe when I don achieve the goal of my diet, I go expose everything.

@EBK. Warreva! If you like take am , if you like hang am. Lol

  10. Abeg una don see d Soji guy? Change of name for Paper na 1,500 o! I can be Soji by evening.

  11. @Udegbunam Chukwudi
    indeed you jumped the gun!
we actually meant contributors. And let me also say, that even Mr mobility can be manipulated by a PREY contributor!

  12. Kudos to the guys @ Plirismobile….. Soji welcome to the club… i’m also a pliris user and it’s been a WOW experience for me.

  13. @ Chuks – what is your collarbone is chest hairs to me – and I saw them, my eyes do not deceive me (and no ,I didn’t go back to the post to check!)

You and Emmanuel want to give me heart problems and I will not let it happen! :p

  14. Congrats to the winner; Soji Ayoade. It is a great thing to win to win a Prize here! I know because I am in fact the pioneer winner in Mobility Blog.

My advice is that you shouldn’t rest in your laurels but continue to give back to the blog. By giving back, I mean in terms of objective comments and criticism. And support this community as best as you can.

To Mr. Mobility, I say Cherioo. You are indeed a master and you’ve really lead by example!

And finally, to PilirisBlaze team, I salute you. You’ve come to the right place. With the publicity you get on this site, your products will be marketed throughout the country. You need nothing more than this!

  15. Congrats to Soji Ayoade.

I must admit that I’m disappointed.

I heard of the proposed giveaway last night on twitter, and I mentally prepared myself for a contest or quiz or some form of competition, either here or on Twitter or Facebook.

I was all set when I woke up today. My twitter and facebook pages were active, my internet connection was fast, and I made sure sure that no program on my PC would bother me all day. Imagine my disappointment when I read this post. I couldn’t even bring myself to comment at the time. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™ :'(

Well, I don’t know about the selection process, and I must trust that Mr. Mobility did it in a very objective manner. No use crying over spilled milk. Cheers!

  16. @mr mobility what’s the ram of this phone and when should we expect it? I hope they will do dhl delivery. also it won’t hurt if they gave us a full spec gsmarena style* I don’t want to sell this phone and start waiting.

For the give away i actually expected more. Like a real competition or smthing. Well congrats to him *no beef intended*

  17. Sorry guys, Just viewing my ‘awoof’ message ‘cos I was away from the blog yesterday.

@spacyzuma, @zsch: You guys are scaring me o, LOL!
@AmarachiOgbonna: I am definitely looking forward to having a ‘WOW experience’ as well.
@Noni: Request not granted; one bare chest coming!

Let me fast-forward an appreciation to the team @MobilityBlog and Pliris for this gift…Hope to give my user-experience soon. Cheers!

  18. @Soji: that your user experience is much needed so I can make up my mind on whether to get this device or wait for samsung to release an android dual sim with ICS ๐Ÿ˜€

  19. Pardon me for the brief hiatus… I was busy enjoying the phone. The Blaze is more fluid to use than I initially thought. I expected a studgy, esoteric device but instead the Blaze is intuitive, smart, fluid (wrote this already!) and incredibly user~friendly! Definitely a good buy.. Thanks to the team @ mobilitynigeria and Plirismobile; great job guys!

  20. @Soji: abeg the review said the ouchscreen wasn’t very responsive na true abi na lie? Also how far with battery life and screen resolution? Do movies play well on the device?

Hope it has Mobile hotspot via wi-fi.

If only this device can run Android icecream sandwich!

  21. @EBK: shuo?! Three much ke? How? Those are basic features a smartphone of today must have ni oh for that price tag.

After the revelation I got on the iPad last night and dis morning, I need to be a lot more carefully when planning to get certain devices.

  22. @Udegbunam Chukwudi What experience with the iPad?

Btw, Soji, it looks like a good buy, from the way you describe it. That’s a good thing!

  23. @ Chucks: The touchscreen feature is not bad at all; it’s quite responsive and smooth. The resolution is great as well though I am yet to review its camera and video quality…and yes it has mobile hotspot via WIFI.

Definitely a sweet device…even entry level Android users can be comfortable with it.

  24. @Soji,

Big congrats. Welcome to the club. I think at this point we should have an exclusive club just for winners on mobility blog. @spacyzuma, am not trying to rub it in ๐Ÿ˜€ lol.

Seriously speaking, everyone is a winner on mobility blog. What i have gained being on this blog is far more than money can ever buy.

Keep the flag flying Mr Mobility et al. More greese to your elbow (or is it to your mobile devices ๐Ÿ˜€ )
