Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G have been launched in China. These devices are 5G variants of their earlier released 4G models. These devices offer faster data transfer speeds (thanks to its 5G connectivity).
Redmi Note 9 5G
The Redmi Note 9 5G is built around a 6.53-inch full-HD (2340×1080 pixels) display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has a punch-hole in the top-left corner, as its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
It runs the Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. In the optics department, this smartphone has three rear cameras including a 48MP primary sensor. This sensor is assisted by an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. Up front, a 13MP shooter takes care of selfies and video calls.
The Redmi Note 9 5G has the MediaTek Dimensity 800U under the hood, offering up to 8GB of RAM. It also provides onboard storage up to 256GB. It has a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 18W, keeping this device powered all day.
This smartphone costs CNY 1299 ($197) for the 6GB+128GB model, CNY 1499 ($228) for the 8GB+128GB model and CNY 1699 ($258) for the pick of the pack 8GB+256GB variant.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD (2400×1080 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 250Hz sampling rate. It also runs the Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 750G chipset is paired with Adreno 619 graphics processor. It offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage (expandable via microSD to 512GB).
In the optics department, this smartphone boasts four rear cameras, with a 108MP primary sensor heading this setup. It is assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, a 16MP sensor takes care of video calls and selfies.
A 4,820mAh battery keeps this smartphone powered all day. It also has IP53 water and dust resistance.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G costs CNY 1599 ($243) for the 6GB+128GB model, CNY 1799 ($273) for the 8GB+128GB model and CNY 1999 ($304) for the pick of the pack 8GB+256GB variant. It is available in Autumn, black, blue and Lake colour options.
