TECNO T901 (KaiOS smart feature phone)

TECNO T901 is a KaiOS smart feature phone announced in August 2019. It features a 2.4-inch display, rear camera, front camera, 512 MB RAM, 256 MB internal memory, a hybrid microSD card slot, and a 1900 mAh battery.

As part of Kai Technologies’ push into mobile markets in Africa, a partnership with TECNO Mobile has produced the TECNO T901, a KaiOS smart feature phone. The really exciting news though is that, unlike MTN’s Smart T, this is a 4G LTE phone.

As such, TECNO T901 puts not just apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Google Assistant, YouTube, and Google Maps, among others, in the hands of subscribers, but it also brings 4G Internet, WIFi hotspot, NFC, and GPS within reach of low-income people. These popular apps and many more are available from Kai Store, the official app store for KaiOS devices.

Phone Status: Announced.

  1. The idea is not bad at all. A such phone will 4G LTE is a good thing. It now depends on the type of 4G bands it will come with.

  2. This, definitely, will give itel a run. A feature phone that has 4G network and can be used to WhatsApp, Facebook, stream videos on YouTube, etc is going to be a public delight. Those who don’t like smartphones owing to the way they break easily would find this more like a prayer answered.
Looking forward to hearing what it’s going to cost.

  3. Seriously, why has it taken Tecno to launch this phone in Nigeria? They’ve given MTN space to to continue to dominate the market. Tecno is making a big mistake by not launching this device in Nigeria 🇳🇬 on time.
