Google Pixel 5 Specs, Specifications, Leaks, Rumours, Release Date, Etc
In terms of software, Google Pixel 5 is expected to launch with Android 11. For wireless network support, we expect to see 5G alongside with the usual suspects – 4G, 3G, and 2G.
Leaked renders of the device suggest that it will likely come with a punch hole display, and rear fingerprint scanner. Overall, the design looks very much like that of the Pixel 4a. The dimensions of the phone have been leaked as 144.6 x 70.4 x 8 mm.
There have been leaks that the Pixel 5 will be powered by the 5G-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, which is an upper mid-range chip. This is a departure from the past, as flagship Pixel smartphones have a history of using flagship chipsets This will be the first time that one of them will use a mid-range chip.
Coupled with the SD765G will be 8GB of RAM.
Leaks have also revealed that the Pixel 5 could sport a dual camera at the back, 3.5mm audio jack (Yay!), a USB-C port, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
The price of the upcoming Pixel 5 is not known for sure, but it is expected to carry a price tag of around $700 when it is eventually launched. The release date is expected to be sometime in October 2020, or at the latest, November.
As for availability, Google Pixel 5 and 4a 5G will be available in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan and Australia. Lastly, there are rumours of a Pixel XL and Pixel 5a versions as well.
