The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro come in a bold, new design language, as well as powerful new hardware, that have everyone pleasantly surprised and excited.

Introducing Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro in radical new look

Months ago, leaked renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro showed up on social media and took everyone by surprise. The renders were shocking, not being what we were expecting from Pixel phones, which have a history of more conservative appearances.

These renders portrayed a new design shift for Google’s smartphone line-up. They are bold, hip, and trendy – much more than anything we have seen from Google in the past.

This design scheme is a radical departure from what we have seen of Google Pixel phones before this time. Perhaps they are so radical that we are in disbelief. Yet, we have a 3rd party confirmation that these images are actually authentic in terms of design (though not in colour).

Interesting, I say. Embedded below is the source video of the leaked renders, for your convenience.

Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro official announcement

The Pixel 6.duo went official in October 2021, with the designs from the leaked images and videos.

Shortly after the formal announcements, independent testing of the devices revealed that the two did not charge at the officially stated 30W fast charging speed, but at a slower speed of 22W. Google later released a statement in November 2021 to say that “the peak power that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro draw from the wired charger is 21W and 23W, respectively”.

Below are some key specs of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and are constantly being updated.
