This is the most common method used for taking a screenshot. You can easily do this by briefly pushing the Volume Down and the On/Off buttons. These buttons are on the side of your device as they always are. Newer smartphone models have the Volume button and the On/Off button on the right, while older models have the volume buttons on the left and the On/Off button on the left.

Hand Swipe method

The second way to take a screenshot on Samsung smartphones is to use a smart gesture feature. To take a screenshot using this feature, all you have to do is put the side of your hand on the right side of your device’s screen and swipe to the left side.

To turn in/activate this smart gesture feature, do the following:

• Head to your Settings.

• Select  Advanced functions.

• Tap on Motions and gestures.

• Check to see if the “Palm swipe to capture” is turned on.

If this option is not displayed, it means that this feature is not available on your device. That is all there really is to it on how to take a screenshot on Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
