Vivo V20 Pro 5G was released in September this year, launching with the Android 10 (with Funtouch OS 11). Now, reports reaching us say that this smartphone will have its software upgraded to the Android 11.
This new update comes with the build number PD2020F_EX_A_6.70.8 and is rather weighty, clocking in at 3.6GB. This update brings the Android November security patch and comes with chat bubble features, notification history, and priority chat functions.
Another important point to note is that this Android 11 version tweaks the ROM version in the About Phone menu to vos OS_2.0 from the previous Funtouch OS 11. At first sight, this looks like a glitch from the company, and we expect that it will be addressed or rectified in the coming weeks.
Currently, this update is expected to rollout in batches over-the-air, with Vivo V20 Pro 5G units in India already receiving this update. You can check for this update on your device when you go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install, it is best to have a strong internet connection before beginning this process and don’t forget to back up your information before you start.
The Vivo V20 Pro 5G launched in September with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of onboard storage and a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display just to name a few specs. It weighs 184 grams and measures 158.82×74.2×7.39 mm.
