Sony has launched the Xperia 8 Lite in Japan as the newest smartphone from the technology company. This smartphone shares a number of similarities with the Sony Xperia 10 which was launched last year at the MWC.
Sony Xperia 8 Lite features a 6-inch full-HD+ LCD Triluminous display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. This smartphone has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC under the hood which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage (that is expandable via microSD card to 512GB).
In the camera department, a dual-rear camera setup with a 12MP main camera alongside an 8MP shooter take care of photography duty. In the front panel, an 8MP selfie camera takes care of video calls.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite houses a 2,870mAh battery and offers connectivity options ranging from Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, 4G LTE and more. This device offers IPX5/8 water resistance.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite was launched in White and Black glossy colour options, offering one storage variant, a 4GB+64GB model that costs JPY 29,800 ($280). This smartphone is expected to go on sale in Japan from the 1st of September.
